Illness, Obesity, Mental Health, Water and You

Parched??

While we are on the topic of hydration , I recently read this extremely interesting article.

Please click on the link below to read about how chronic dehydration is linked and causes unexplained pains and illnesses in our body! Dehydration affects our

  • brain function
  • nerve function
  • bone function
  • energy
  • digestion
  • breathing and lung function

“When the body does not receive a constant, reliable supply of water, it has to ration what is available and cut back on certain functions to make the supply go round. Essential systems like the brain are prioritised, others are impaired or cut back until the brain has decided a reliable source of water has been garnered”.

Water really is the only true “superfood”.

Here is just a few of the conditions that chronic dehydration causes:

  • heartburn
  • arthritis
  • lupus
  • asthma
  • high cholesterol
  • high blood pressure
  • heart disease
  • obesity
  • cancer formation
  • hot flushes and menstrual problems
  • allergies
  • chronic fatigue syndrome
  • angina
  • lower back pain
  • gout
  • kidney stones
  • skin disorders

And there are heaps more on the article’s page.

Note obesity being high up on the list!

REMEMBER : THE BEST WAY TO INCREASE YOUR WATER INTAKE IS TO DRINK A LITRE OR TWO UPON RISING IN THE MORNINGS BEFORE YOU INGEST ANYTHING ELSE.

This is also the foundation for detoxifying your body. Start tomorrow morning, make it part of your lifestyle i.e a habit! and feel the difference. Give your body what it needs and live a long, happy beautiful life! And look gorgeously young and glowing with health!!
